Kia GT4 Stinger Unveiled……Soon
The Kia GT4 Stinger – We all like an image teaser at CarHq.com.au and when the latest offering from Kia, the Kia GT4 Stinger, came through the mail box it generated a lot of discussion around the office. For many of us it immediately brought back memories of Luke Skyewalker’s landspeeder from Star Wars for others it was reminiscent of the Thunderbirds or the Jestsons.
From the teaser image, the Kia GT4 Stinger, incorporates the Kia signature grill with a surround which glows white and is flanked by vertical LED lights. THe Kia GT4 Stinger is low sitting mere centimetres from the ground reinforcing the image that like Luke’s landspeeder that it is hovering just above the ground. There are front brake cooling vents which will funnel air around custom 20 inch wheels while a carbon fibre front splitter mounted just below the bumper will ensure that the Kia GT4 Stinger has the necessary downforce to remain firmly planted on the tarmac.
Powered by a turbocharged 2 litre, 4 cylinder engine which produces 235kw of power direct to the rear wheels it will certainly be interesting to see the complete package when it is finally unveiled at the North America International Auto Show in Detroit on January 2014.
