Lexus RC F GT3 Concept – Geneva Motor Show
News Flash – At the Geneva International Motor Show, Lexus will debut the Lexus RC F GT3 Concept, a racing version of its RC F performance coupe which has been developed to meet GT3 international racing standards. Lexus intend to supply GT3 compliant vehicles to racing teams from 2015 and it is envisaged that these vehicles will be used in events such the 24 hours of Nürburgring endurance race in Germany and the Super Taikyu Endurance and Super GT series in Japan.
The Lexus RC F GT3 Concept weighs just 1,250 kg and is powered by a modified version of the RC F’s V8 engine which produces a maximum power output approaching 400 kilowatts.
The reason behind the concept can best be explained by Lexus Australia chief executive Sean Hanley who states “Motorsport forms an integral part of our commitment to building Lexus’ credentials in the area of vehicle dynamics, while also complementing our focus on design. Through initiatives like the RC F GT3 Concept, Lexus will give car enthusiasts and customers the opportunity to experience the excitement of motorsport.”
