Continental GT3-R Makes North American Debut
Drawing its inspiration from the race winning Continental GT3 race car the 2 seater Bentley Continental GT3-R is powered by a high performance 4 litre twin turbo V8 engine which generates 572 brake horse power making it the fastest accelerating Bentley ever with a mind blowing 0 to 100 klm/hour pace of 3.6 seconds. At that pace it is hard to believe that this is a grand tourer let alone a Bentley.
Taking its lead from Henry Ford, the Bentley Continental GT3-R will only be available in glacier white with two tone green graphics that trace the two prominent power lines to the side profile of the car. To the front is a splitter while a rear fixed wing to the rear boot lid provides the balance. Additional exterior treatments include gloss black headlamp bezels, matrix grille, window surrounds and bumper strips. Wheels are 21 inch in gloss black.
Being a “race car” the Continental GT3-R features two bespoke sporting seats finished in Beluga black leather with diamond quilted Alcantra. Replacing rear seats is a new uniquely trimmed rear cabin with a carbon fibre surround which is finished in leather and Alcantra. The instrument panel and door panels are finished in vivid accent green as is the contrast stitching throughout the seats and diamond quilted areas. GT3-R badging is prominent on the centre console and passenger fascia panel, as well as logos on head rests in contrasting green thread and sill tread plates.
The Bentley Continental GT3-R is hand built in Crewe, England and is limited to 300 world wide of which 1/3 are already allocated to the US and have an asking price starting at $337,000 .
