Ford Mustang Available in Right Hand Drive

The globalisation of the automotive industry is evidenced by the recent announcement by Ford that the legendary Ford Mustang will be available, for the first time in 50 years, in a factory built right hand drive configuration.

With the right hand prototype currently undergoing development testing it is anticipated that it will hit the showrooms next year in over 120 countries including Australia, United Kingdom and South Africa.

All-New Right-Hand-Drive Mustang

The all new Ford Mustang will be the sixth generation of the iconic brand which originally made waves when it was released in the US in 1964. Since this time in excess of 9.2 million Ford Mustangs have been sold in the US alone.

So when the Ford Mustang takes pride of place in your local Ford dealer alongside other global models like Ford Everest, Ford Focus and Ford Ranger instead of Australia’s own Ford Falcon and Ford Territory it is a reminder of how small the world really has become.
