All new Mazda2 production has commenced
With the success of the all new Mazda6 and Mazda3 the Australians have been waiting the release date for the all new Mazda2 and today it has been announced that the all new Mazda2 will be available in Australia in the last quarter of 2014.
Production of the all new Mazda2 has commenced in Japan and the all new Mazda2 is the first full redesign of the popular subcompact in almost seven years. The all new Mazda2 incorporates KODO (soul of motion) design which is evident across all of the current suite of Mazdas and will also incorporate what is being marketed as a range of cutting edge technologies including MZD connect which is Mazda’s next generation car connectivity system.
Also available in the all new Mazda2 will be safety features including i-Activesense which assists the driver in identifying and responding to hazards.
Powering the popular compact will be a choice of three engines including SKYACTIV-G 1.5 and 1.3 litre petrol engines, or a SKYACTIV-D 1.5 litre diesel engine.
We at CarHq.com.au look forward to test driving the new Mazda2 to see if it is a worthy replacement to the original Mazda2. If the recently released Mazda3 and Mazda6 are anything to go by we are sure it will be.
