Ferrari FF – A Review
Taking pride of place in the front window of Zagames in Swan Street, Richmond the recently unveiled Ferrari FF, exudes elegance, poise and the unmistakable Ferrari flair and design. With a sporty stance, paintwork the dreams of many a young boy, and an interior with full infotainment system including touch and voice commands and extensive use of leather and carbon fibre the Ferrari FF offers a level of luxury only previously seen in the likes of Mercedes S Class and Audi A8.
This four seater, comfortably sits four adults along with room for associated luggage. With a cabin space and boot capacity of 450 litres expandable to 800 this Ferrari offers one of the best figures in its category including four door cars. Behind the prancing horse, is a new v12 GDI engine producing 486 kw a maximum speed of 335 km/hour anda 0 to 100 km/hour of 3.7 seconds. Coupled with four wheel drive,a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox, new suspension, third generation CCM brakes and integrated dynamic controls the performance ability and road holding is everything you want in a Ferrari and then some.
Designed with the driver in mind, this Ferrari, with its Four Wheel Drive, is as much home on an ice lake as it is on a dry road and offers the complete driving experience. The racing steering wheel containing all major controls (including indicators, suspension de-coupling, engine start button, infotainment controls, and the 5 position GT Manettino) and behind which are the larger F1 paddle shifts, this truly is a driver’s car.
The 5 position GT Manettino is a first for Ferrari and allows you to tailor your driving experience from the sport and comfort modes right through to the mind blowing control system off. With a weight distribution of 47:53 front to rear ratio, and the 4RM Control incorporating F1-Trac, E-Diff and PTU, Ferrari promises that the Ferrari FF will offer the best traction for every road surface.
