News Release – Kia and the Australian Open Tennis Championship have forged a significant partnership over the past 13 years and 2014 is no different. Every year , in the second half of January, the streets of Melbourne are flooded with Australian Open Tennis courtesy vehicle ferrying officials and stars from 5 star hotel accommodation to Melbourne Park and back again. When seeing one of the many Australia Open courtesy vehicles provided by Kia I always take a moment to sneak a glance in the hope of catching a glimpse of a World number one or a tennis fashionista.

This year is no different with Kia Australia committing in excess of 100 specially equipped courtesy vehicles for the Australian Open Tennis Championship in order to move around the players, officials, media and staff. As always the main vehicle used for the Australian Open Tennis Championship will be the Kia Grand Carnival which will be supported by the Kia Sorneo SUV, Kia Sportage SUV and the Kia Rondo people mover. Moving this fleet around, on a daily basis, will be 215 volunteer drivers who over the two weeks of the open are likely to drive in excess of 400,000 kilometres.
